Gurudev welcomed the extension of the free ration scheme for 800 million (80 crore) people by the Government of India

Gurudev addressed environmental thought leaders which included Dr. Vandana Shiva, Nicolas Hulot, Erik Solheim, Prof. Johan Rockström, Jan Eliasson and Rebecka Le Moine among others.

Very early on in the lockdown Gurudev congratulated the entire medical fraternity acknowledging their service during the COVID pandemic and urging them to take care of themselves.

Gurudev has launched several initiatives to address mental health issues in Africa. Continuing the series of Africa Day (May 25th) and Africa Month (May 2020); Gurudev engages in an annual continent-wide campaign called iMeditateAfrica (IMA).

Though the lockdown restricted physical movement, it only opened up a new way for Gurudev to continue his outreach.
