Gurudev spoke on World Peace & Global Harmony, which was followed by a guided meditation. Afterwards, the audience of over 400, which included faculty members, students and staff of Jamia Millia Islamia, interacted with Gurudev in a question & answer session.

While fear and uncertainty looming over large part of Iraq, two Art of Living Faculty members Christoph Glaser and Mawahib Shaibani embarked on a mission. They began imparting leadership training and peace building initiatives to 35 Members of Parliament in Arbil, Kurdistan, Iraq.

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar launched the ‘Save Life India’ project, a special blood donation initiative.

The over 2000-strong audience pledged to support blood donation and work towards community welfare in the event entitled, ‘My India, My Vision.’

Gurudev inaugurated a community center for villagers near the Sri Sri University, Cuttack, Orissa

On October 26th 2013, Gurudev met with the families of the riot victims in Muzaffarnagar. He emphasized the need for restoring mutual trust among the communities. “Peace and harmony is needed to ensure progress and development,” he said.

Gurudev was embraced with equal anticipation by people from either side of the hostile communal conflict.
